Dennis started his career in Hong Kong in 1976 as an Average Adjusters specializing in marine hull, liability and general average claims. He has work experiences in London, Seattle, Shanghai and Vancouver.

Dennis emigrated to Vancouverin 1989 and set up the branch office of an International Adjusting firm. In 1996, Dennis joined Sedgwick Limited as an account executive with the primary role to develop business from Shipowners, Ship Operators, Charterers, Ferry Services, Marina and Trading Houses.

Dennis moved to Marsh Canada Limited in April, 1999 (after acquisition of Sedgwick by Marsh Canada). He services and handles insurance placement for a number of Japanese trading houses, mining companies, terminal and Asian investment in Vancouver. He also places insurance for Canadian companies with and interest in People’s Republic of China on property, casualty, mining and exploration. Such insurance covers are arranged for local Chinese Insurance companies, placed in accordance with the Chinese Insurance Regulation Council, and are predominantly in the area of high tech, mining and oil exploration.

Dennis’ representative experience includes both blue water and brown water Hull and P&I, major project cargo placement with delay in start-up coverage. Dennis is also involved in placement of risks in China owned and operated by Canadian companies.
