Chu, Beiping (Reciprocal Arbitrator)

Prof. Beiping Chu was born in May 1972.  He graduated from Navigation College of Dalian Maritime University (DMU) with a bachelor’s degree in Navigation Technology in 1996, and obtained LLM and Ph.D from DMU respectively in 2000 and 2008.

 

Prof. Chu is now the dean professor and doctoral supervisor of DMU Law School, and is also a senior visiting scholar at Swansea University of United Kingdom, and winner of award nomination of The 8th National Ten Outstanding Young Jurists of the P. R. China. Prof. Chu’s academic interest covers extensive areas including  maritime and admiralty law, marine insurance, international maritime and commercial arbitration, shipping law, ship collision law, ship sale and purchase, ship mortgage and financing, and cross-border maritime bankruptcy and insolvency.  His current positions and professional memberships include:
